Poses and Pints with In Your Element and Vail Brewing Company

Poses and Pints might be the most fun thing that has happened to Yoga in Vail recently. If you haven’t heard about it, or haven’t been to one yet, make sure to check it out soon!

Poses and Pints is just one of the ways in which In Your Element is creatively building a stronger yoga community, while at the same time supporting a local, small business. In Your Element has teamed up with the new local brewery Vail Brewing Co. to host monthly yoga classes in their tap room. For a pretty small price, ($10ish) you get a full hour class taught by In Your Element instructors and a pint of beer to rehydrate afterwards. The beer alone is worth the admission for these events, the VBC has a dozen ta handles, and there’s something everyone. And if your hungry, Rocky Mountain Taco foodtruck is right outside. But the yoga is the highlight, and also your justification for getting a few pints deep by noon. I’m not sure what is a better use of your Saturday than yoga in a bar and drinking beer and eating tacos with amazing yogis after.

This last Poses and Pints was on Halloween, and attending yogis were encouraged to dress in costume and have fun. There was never a dull moment in the class. Bobby L’Heureux kept it lively and silly at times, but no question he also made sure we were working hard enough to earn our pints.

The next Poses and Pints will be on Saturday November 28, and I will be teaching! This class will be gratitude themed (appropriately enough) and also help us all burn off some of that Thanksgiving dinners. I also hope I can get everyone ready for winter with some ski and snowboard focused movements. Make sure to get there early as this event fills up fast. I really hope to see you there!

And by the way, make sure to consider supporting Vail Brewing Company’s indiegogo campaign to get their canned selection off the ground.
